CIEE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please visit the CIEE website to learn more about Global Navigator High School Summer Study Abroad programs and scholarship opportunities

The priority deadline to apply is _________________ (when 75% of scholarships are awarded, giving applicants their best chances at a scholarship for their first choice destination).

Any student graduating in 2020, 2021, or 2022 is eligible to apply for a scholarship (seniors can also apply for a merit scholarship of 10%). In continuing our school’s commitment to global education and our enthusiasm for world language instruction, we encourage you to explore their programs and learn more about their unique scholarship program, where students can apply for both merit (based on academic achievement, language ability, interest in navigating across cultures and a teacher recommendation) and need-based (based on family income) awards, ranging from 10-100%! Check out the blogs from this past summer.

You can also view an online presentation on the application instructions here. The scholarship application is within the general online application, and the short essay questions regard reasons/fit for wanting to participate, challenges experienced and expected in the program and strengths you would contribute to the program (culturally, linguistically, socially, leadership skills, communication skills, global perspective, subject area knowledge, etc.). More details and resources on fundraising can be found here. And information on safety is listed here.

Please note that the following countries require a visa if traveling with a US passport (Ghana, Tanzania, Australia, China, Dominican Republic). Please feel free to contact CIEE with any questions. You can also email: hsabroad@ciee.org for more specifics.
